Food for Thought
This is my blog, my place where I ‘chew on new ideas’. (Pardon the pun.) I think quite a lot about local food systems, especially how to divert food waste from the landfill and use it to feed people instead, or at the very least compost it, to help build better soil. I am also a wild edible enthusiast, so I talk about that too.
I have been self-employed as a social media strategist and consultant since 2009. This occupation suits me perfectly in that I am intensely curious by nature and have a deep love of learning. Even as I teach students — from beginners, to professionals employed by Fortune 500 companies — I continue to learn continuously. Besides learning new technology, ideas and methods, this experience has also exposed me to a huge network of people over the years and expanded my knowledge to new areas of interest I would not have anticipated.
In my mind, everything’s connected! However, I understand that people’s time is limited and you, the visitor may have a specific area of interest in mind, so I am trying harder these days to organize my thoughts more intentionally for you. Still, one post could take you on a trip down one rabbit hole and you may end up somewhere completely unexpected. One client called me trippy. I didn’t think that was bad — I’ll take it.
