“Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough. Money can be got, but
others need your heart to love them. So, spread love everywhere you go.”

~ Mother Theresa

Are you spreading love? Yes, you can use social media to benefit your business. Challenge yourself to seek creative ways to go beyond “business as usual” and see what good you can do with your tweets and Facebook updates.

Here’s an example of a client, Above Board Construction, who used their social media klout for the good to increase awareness about the importance of screening for breast cancer. I coached Laura Gerhardt, the owner, on technical stuff but this idea was all her own. I can’t take any credit for that. I’m just proud of her efforts and their success.

Here’s what they did:

They wrapped their service truck (for a construction business!) with bright pink graphics including the pink breast cancer awarenessribbon.

They’ll donate $2 for every pink truck sighting reported. Simply report your sighting of when and where you spot the pink truck via Twitter or Facebook.

To make it interesting: Include a photo of your sighting along with the location and time on your post and Vic and Laura will donate $5 to the campaign for your extra efforts!

Can you meet the challenge? They’re willing to donate up to $10,000!
